Cardioinfo is an information project owned by Il Pensiero Scientifico Editore Srl – an Italian scientific publisher established in 1946, partner of the main Italian scientific institutions –  on current clinical and research topics in the cardiovascular field. Cardioinfo aims to provide clinicians and researchers with quality editorial content that is carefully prepared, guaranteeing transparency and objectivity. The editorial contents of Cardioinfo (news, articles and commentaries) are prepared by the editorial staff of Il Pensiero Scientifico Editore. Editorial collaborations with health institutions or industries are declared within the content or in a conflict of interest disclosure.

The topics to be covered are chosen by the editorial staff according to the clinical and professional information needs of doctors and health professionals working in the cardiovascular field. The editorial staff of Cardioinfo has the Scientific Editorial Board as its main reference for collecting comments and points of view. None of Cardioinfo’s editors and contributing journalists have any financial interests in their editorial field.

The opinions expressed by third parties through video interviews, quotes, and editorials do not necessarily coincide with those of the health and academic institutions to which the interviewees/authors belong or with those of the Publisher.

Social media policy

All content published on Cardioinfo is shared through the Twitter and Linkedin accounts of the publication. Video materials are instead published on the respective Youtube channel. In some cases, Cardioinfo may share posts created by third parties such as companies, organizations, and news outlets.

Twitter, Linkedin, and Youtube posts related to editorial content produced by Cardioinfo in collaboration with health institutions or industries under the “unconditional support” formula are identified by the presence of the hashtag #US. In the case of advertising posts, the hashtag #ADV is used. The possible presence of advertising spaces alongside the content published through Cardioinfo’s social media accounts is not under the control of the publication but is autonomously managed by the social networks.

The editorial team of Cardioinfo is committed to managing communication and dialogue on its social media accounts. In general, users interacting with the posts are asked to express their opinions with correctness and moderation and to respect the opinions of others. Any comments and messages containing insults, vulgarity, offenses, or threats will be immediately reported and/or removed.
